Description
Two-component epoxy primer for decorative coatings
Manual
- The support must be clean and healthy. Eliminate all traces of dust as well as any substance that could affect adhesion (paint, oil, grease, fluorescence, glue, varnish, etc.). Apply at a temperature above 10 ° C and humidity below 80%.
- Pour the hardener (component B) into the resin (component A) and mix at low speed (150 rpm) for one minute using an electric mixer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The mixture has a pot life of 1 hour at 20 ° C.
- Apply the primer using a roller (0.150g / m²) or a liana (0.400g / m²)
- (Optional) Carry out an adherent sandblasting on the fresh resin, by manually projecting the dry sand at a rate of 3.5 to 4 kg / m². Use studded shoes that allow you to walk on the resin. The sand should cover the entire surface and have a dry appearance (not coated with resin).
- Leave to polymerize for 24 hours. Then, remove the loose sand by brushing and vacuuming with an industrial vacuum cleaner. The sand used as an adhesion bond must be dry uncoated, perfectly adherent and encrusted with the primer.
Warning
- If the application is made in hot weather, the life of the mixture is greatly reduced. The curing time depends on the ambient temperature and humidity during application.
- In the case of porous or very porous support, a first impregnation coat with a roller is necessary 12 hours beforehand.
